Last weekend was a UFO weekend for me. I have lot's of UFO's - all at different stages of completion. I fall in love with so many designs and want to make them all + I also have the new designs that pop into my head - so they too get started and sometimes get finished. This quilt is a quilt I designed ages ago all about Friendship and Love.
I have to confess that the only thing that it needed doing was the binding - Isn't that terrible.
I am a lover of sentimental words and this quilt has plenty.
It uses a honeybun plus some homespun, sashing and co-ordinating binding.
The fabric range is "Objects of Desire"
They are such bright sunny fabrics
I am so pleased that it has finally left the UFO box - It was well overdue.
Whilst sifting through the box I came across this Big Bear Block. It is a pattern called "Vintage Bears" and makes up a single sized bed quilt with the 6 appliqued blocks. I have it all cut out and ready to go with the first block finished.
So I decided to try to make it for one of my grand daughters for christmas.
I figure that there is only 5 blocks to go - LOL - Wish me luck I think it is about 7 weeks until christmas - I wonder if I will make it to the deadline?
Don't forget to hunt around your home for items that you have re-purposed. I will be back tomorrow with Re-Purposed Thursday.
